Daniel Sim Lind
VR Creative Technologist
Daniel Sim Lind is an experienced entrepreneur, marketer, software product designer and storyteller who dropped everything almost two years ago to get ready for the “technology tsunami” that is immersive computing.
He began as a software developer, but soon moved to product development, interface design and digital marketing strategy and acquisition. He has created and marketed a dozen products used by more than twenty million people and favourably reviewed by CNN, BBC World and The Wall Street Journal. He has lead several global promotions for World Usability Day and created acquisition campaigns for UX tool vendors from nine countries.
He holds a patent for a 3D imaging system for human faces, and recently worked with a team of VR pioneers to build a volumetric video system that captures live human performances in high-resolution and places them in VR environments.
His production studio, Diesel Immersive, is developing new stories and supporting technologies for VR cinema beyond 360 video. Daniel is a popular speaker on a wide array of VR and MR topics, consults, and teaches VR design at Academy Xi.
Daniel is dedicated to building the local VR ecosystem and furthering VR-native UI/UX design and immersive storytelling.
